Yum! *** My Creative Scrapbook ***

You know those photos that you love, and you hang onto waiting for the perfect piece of paper to come along to complement them? I love this photo of my youngest, Colby, in Greece, waiting for our meal. The food there was sublime, and looking at this photo takes me right back to that cafe on the beach, and the Blue Fern Studios Heartland paper from the February My Creative Scrapbook LE kit was just perfect for it.

In order to carry over some of the blue from the photo, I added some stencilling in two shades of blue using Shimmerz Dazzlerz through the stencil included in the kit.

I fussy cut a strip from the Special Event paper from the Elegy collection in the kit, and layered it with corrugated cardboard, the cut strip from the base paper, lace from the kit and the clock and roses from the Blue Fern Studios chipboard wrapper. I then added Ceramic Stucco to the background, and added gold glitter to the background while the stucco and paint were still tacky.

I love these Blue Fern Studios roses! They are perfect nestled with the resin frame, gauze and tiny roses from the kit.
